Dhoni becomes the world’s first wicketkeeper to do 100 stumpings in ODIs

    Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni 36-year-old Dhoni became the world’s first wicketkeeper to do 100 stumpings in ODIs on Sunday. He achieved this in the fifth and final ODI of the series against Sri Lanka. Dhoni touched this magical figure in the 301th ODI of his career.

    Sri Lankan batsman Akila Dhananjay became the 100th victim of Dhoni , Dhoni stumped 99th in the second ODI of the series. Then Dhoni stuttered Danunshaka Gunatilka in his 298th ODI and threw Sri Lankan veteran Kumar Sangakkara (99 stumping). Even at that time, the bowler was Yajuwendra Chahal.




    Talk about the most stumping in ODIs, Dhoni has so far made 100 stumpings from 2004 to 2017. It is special that Dhoni made a century of stumping after playing the lowest one-dayer. While Sangakkara has been able to do 99 stumps after playing 404 ODIs during 2000-2015.
