Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that the 1998 nuclear tests conducted by Pakistan made a balance in South Asia and gave a strong signal to “enemies” that the aggressive stance would get a smash hit answer. On the anniversary of the nuclear test conducted by the country, Sharif said that it is unforgettable for Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said, “Pakistan’s nuclear program has strengthened the balance of power in South Asia, it became a symbol of peace and the small nations present in the area breathed in peace.” According to the report of the Associate Press of Pakistan (APP) of the Government Dialogue Committee, Sharif said, “After the formation of nuclear power, it is time to make the country an economic power.
He said, “Nineteen years ago, we made the security cover of the country ineffective. Presently with the same commitment and passion, the country’s economy is being strengthened and stable. In the current situation, the defense of any country can not be separated from its economic stability. He said, 19 years ago when the Pakistan Muslim League Government decided to conduct a nuclear test, there were many challenges before him. He said, “The country is indebted to those people who showed bravery at that time and played a role in making Pakistan’s nuclear power.”
