Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Assam on Friday for the completion of three years of his government. Here he inaugurated the country’s longest bridge ‘Dhola-Sadia Mahasetu’ on the Brahmaputra river. After this, Prime Minister Modi himself came out on foot to take stock of the bridge.

The time of travel between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will be reduced from six hours to one hour with this 9.15 km long bridge. It would be possible to carry heavy heavy luggage on this bridge. It is being told that the bridge can pass 60 ton of weighing tank of the army. Apart from this, the 8.0-magnitude earthquake can also be caught on the reactor scale.
To cross the river Brahmaputra, the boats were used only during the day and it was not possible even during floods. After the inauguration of this bridge on Friday, connectivity for Upper Assam and Eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh will be ensured. This will save up to Rs 10 lakh per day in petrol and diesel.

In addition to the inauguration of Prime Minister Modi ‘Mahasetu’ on the Assam tour, AIIMS will lay the foundation of several other projects including the hospital. Apart from this, the PM will also address a public meeting in which he can speak on the achievements of his government for three years.
After this, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Guwahati. It will be opened in rural area 28.5 kilometers from Guwahati. After this, the Prime Minister will make a political rally at the end of his journey at Khanapara, Assam and Meghalaya border.
