    Election Commission (EC) sources said on Thursday that the recognized national or any political party in the state has not confirmed their participation in a session to test the security of polling machines.

    Machines can be tampered with to vote like voters like Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Trinamool Congress, in this session, where people will attempt to break into Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), June 3 Will be determined.

    No party had come forward to confirm their participation one day before the May 26 deadline to inform the Survey team, sources said.

    Vivek Tankha, head of the legal cell of the All India Congress Committee, said, “We have not talked about participation yet.”

    The Commission has given parties for confirmation of its presence till May 26.

    It is alleged that the machines were not tampered with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s massive victory in Uttar Pradesh.

    The Election Commission has repeatedly rejected the allegations and declared an open challenge after the meeting of all the parties.

    Jan Lok Shakti Party spokesman Sanjay Saraf told Hindustan Times that the party will not be involved in the challenge as they do not have doubts on EVM’s efficiency.
