The central cabinet has approved the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor project on Wednesday. A budget of Rs. 5,503 crores has been fixed for this project. These metro corridors will be 29.70 kilometers long. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has given this information by press conference.
The Cabinet has approved the new policy for purchase of defense under Make in India. In addition, the cabinet also approved the establishment of AIIMS in Kamrup district of Assam. An amount of Rs.1,123 crores has been approved for the establishment of AIIMS.
Apart from this, the central government has given a major decision to end the FIPB. Now 90 percent FDI will come automatically. Guideline in just 11 sectors will have to be followed, its announcement will be in the budget.
Most of the accessories of defense equipment will be built in the country. Defense Minister Jaitley said that for a long time it was a demand that the defense equipment is very expensive, due to which the construction of these devices should be made in India. He said that the work of Defense PSU will also be monitored. Also, construction of defense equipment will be started in the private sector.
