Bihar:Bihar First phase of Municipal election conduct peacefully,64 percent voting

    Patna: In the 35 districts of Bihar, the first phase of the first phase of municipal election was concluded between strict security. In the first phase, 60 percent of the voting took place. There were reports of violence, including small clashes in many places. In the first phase, except for the municipalities of Patna district and Barsoe Nagar Panchayat, votes in the hundred municipalities located in all the districts of the state were cast till 5 pm.     Fate of 13,027 candidates from 35 districts will be decided in the first phase
    In the first phase, 100 municipalities in 35 districts have started polling on Sunday morning, which will run till 5 pm. Counting starts on Tuesday morning from 8 o’clock. This time EVMs are being voted. In the first phase, a total of 51 lakhs eight thousand 120 voters will exercise their views. For this, a total of 5306 booths have been constructed across the state, where the total fate of 13,027 candidates is to be decided.

    State election commissioner Durgesh Nandan said that in 35 districts, there will be a voting in 100 municipalities. He said that 492 candidates are in the district. Besides, 391 candidates in Bhagalpur and 384 candidates in Muzaffarpur are in the fray. For this, the control room has been set up in the State Election Commission, its telephone number 0612-2506994 and fax number-0612-2507847. Control room will work from 6.30 am to 9 pm in the morning.

    Polls in Patna district will be held on June 4 and 7
    Election of the municipal body in Patna district will be held on June 4 and 7. Apart from this, the newly created Daudnagar Municipal Council, Banka Nagar Parishad, Mahanar Nagar Parishad, Bikramganj Nagar Parishad will not be voting. Chapra has also been made a municipal corporation, so voting will not be done here too. After demarcation, the voting programs will be announced here.
