Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday laid out the framework of steps to be taken to protect the Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh. In this program, PM Modi appreciated the initiative of Shivraj Government to protect Narmada. PM congratulated the people of Madhya Pradesh for the success of Narmada Seva Yatra.
Lifting of Narmada through Plantation
PM Modi said, “There are many rivers in India, but if we do not carry out our responsibilities then human existence can not be protected. Madhya Pradesh government has decided to plant trees for Mother Narmada’s bright future. This will benefit generations to come. Plans have been planned to give life to Narmada.
People of Madhya Pradesh are eligible for congratulations
The PM said that the misfortune of our country is that wherever the government or the politician joins, the importance of it decreases. Traveled 150 days to protect the river for which CM Shivraj and the people of Madhya Pradesh are eligible for congratulations.
Two cities in the cleanest 100 cities
The PM said that these days a structural system of cleanliness drive has been started in the country. The third party is constantly monitoring this. Two cities of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal and Indore were among the most clean cities. But nothing is successful without the support of the masses, and the best example of this is the clean India campaign. Last time, Madhya Pradesh was lagging behind in the cleanliness drive, but this time, in the cleanest 100 cities, 22 cities of the state are included.
Economy hollow without river
PM said that water is life and river is mother, it is we say. Without the river, the economy is hollow, the Narmada river has the power to change the condition of the farmer. Today Narmada has been able to save. The journey of 150 days for Narmada’s service is ending, but now the sacrifice has begun.
Resolve to do something for the country
PM said that in 2022, 75 years of independence is taking place; remembering Hindustan citizens every moment, 75 years of independence, should make a resolve to do something for the country. If one hundred and fifty million people walk even one step, then in five years, the country will move forward one and a half million steps.
PM Modi joined the concluding of ‘Namami Devi Narmande Seva Yatra’, where Amarkantak from Anuppur district, where the river originated. Narmada River Conservation Awareness Campaign was started in December last year. PM Modi also worshiped the mother Narmada temple.

Earlier, the Prime Minister said tweeted, ” I am happy about tomorrow afternoon to join in an event organized on the occasion of completion of the Narmada service hotel in Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “Prime Minister Amarakantak will release the guideline for the protection of Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh.” He said, “Environmentalists, river conservation experts and people associated directly with Narmada, After the discussion, this framework has been prepared. “
