Bhagalpur/patna. ASI Gurkant Murmu (45) died at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday by jumping from the bathroom of the fourth floor of the surgery department. Gurkant was working as ASI in East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur) district force. He was a resident of Ghatriari village of Sunderpahari police station in Godda district.
On May 5, Gurukat was referred to the Medical College Hospital in Bhagalpur from Godda Sadar Hospital. Gurukanth’s throat was cut off. In delicate condition, he was sent from Godda to Bhagalpur. After the suicide, Gurukanth’s wife and son fled from the hospital.
After getting information about the incident, the case was investigated by City DSP Shaharyar Akhtar, Burari Thanedar Pramod Kumar, Joddar Rajiv Kumar, Rajkumar Bharti, Hospital Superintendent Dr. RC Mandal. So far the cause of suicide is not known.
