A mine protected vehicle of the C-60 commando was allegedly under an underground attack by the Maoists in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.
Officials said that the incident took place in the district near Birmagarh in the evening when the C-60 commando patrol party was crossing the area.
They said that at least 12 employees were injured in the landline explosion targeting the bombing vehicle.
“A senior official said,” We are getting some preliminary reports that the soldiers caught in the blasts belong to the C-60 force of the Maharashtra Police which runs anti-Naxal operations. ”
The team of security force personnel was operating in the area. Earlier in the day, a CRPF jawan and two Maharashtra police personnel were injured in exchange of fire with the Maoists, the official said, the road to rehabilitation is on the way.
On 24th April, 25 CRPF personnel of CRPF were killed and six wounded in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, this year the most deadly attack by the Maoists targeted by security forces.
