Patna. RJD supremo Lalu Yadav has said that the Policy Commission wants the upper caste to be benefited so that he is trying to end the existence of regional parties. Laloo Yadav has said that the proposal of the commission has been talked about where elections of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha should be taken together.
Lalu Yadav has termed this move of the Policy Commission as a conspiracy. Lalu Yadav said that the Center and the Policy Commission are together in conspiracy to end regional politics, but we will not let this happen.
In fact, on April 30, the policy commission suggested to bring Lok Sabha and assembly elections together from 2024. Following this, the commission argues that by doing so, going in the ‘publicity mode’ during elections will reduce the barriers to governance and government work and also reduce the amount of money spent.
In this regard, President Pranab Mukherjee and PM Narendra Modi have also advocated for the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections together. The Commission has conveyed this proposal to the Election Commission and asked to look into it. Apart from this, it has also suggested that to form a team to form assembly and assembly together, prepare a road map.
Significantly, while advocating for a one-time poll, PM Modi had said that elections are held anywhere in the country at some point of time. Due to this, the state treasury keeps getting scratched. In the Lok Sabha election in 2009, Rs 1,100 crore was spent and in 2014 elections, Rs 4,000 crore had been spent.
Yogi Adityanath also targeted
Commenting on the ongoing stir about the development work of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Lalu Yadav said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is talking about developing the state overnight. They think that the previous government has done nothing for development and they will develop Uttar Pradesh.
Lalu said that the previous government in UP has also done development work. During his tenure, UP has been continuously developing. Yogi Adityanath says that his government is going to perform miracles in development, then they are wrong. The Samajwadi Party also united the party as well as the state with all the possibilities for development.
