Sunil Narine breaks Jayasuriya’s biggest record

    new delhi:After losing the toss against Gujarat Lions, once again Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir chose spinner Sunil Narine as his opening partner and Naren proved his selection right after landing on the Eden Gardens. Narine once again played a stormy innings and recorded a new record in his name.

    Record highest run score without  single ran.
    Naren, who took the strike from KKR, played a brilliant innings of 42 runs in just 17 balls and with this innings a new record of his name was recorded by the IPL. Naren hit nine fours and a six in his innings. That is, he got a total of 10 scoring shots from which he scored. With these 42 runs, Naren became the highest run scorer in the IPL without runs. Earlier this record was named after Sanath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka, who played against Mumbai Indians, who scored 36 against Deccan Chargers in 2008. Jayasuriya hit six fours and two sixes in his innings.

    Naren’s stormy innings was such that when KKR’s first wicket was 45 runs, captain Graeme had only three balls in which he had scored three runs. Naren Suresh Raina was out on the ball.

    Even against the Punjab was given the bang
    Earlier, when Gambhir brought Naren to the opening pair against Kings XI Punjab, he was surprised to see all his batting. Naren gave a smashing start of 37 runs in just 18 deliveries to the playing team. In his innings, he had 4 fours and 3 sixes.
