Eastern Champaran: The day of April 18 is historic. On the same day hundred years ago, English rule was kneeling on Mahatma Gandhi’s satyagraha. Several events have been organized to make this day memorable. In this, CM Nitish is conducting a seven-kilometer trek over today’s Gandhi Smriti Yatra.
Mahatma Gandhi appeared in the SDO court on charges of violation of the order. The statement of the British rule was shaken by their statement there. After hundreds of years, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has reached Motihari to make that day historic and he has started the journey from Chandrabhia to Motihari. Deputy Chief Minister, Tejaswas Yadav, Education Minister Ashok Chaudhary are also included in the padyatra.
Walking from Chandrahia to Gandhi Maidan
The Chief Minister started his journey from Chandraya to 8 o’clock in the morning. Prior to this, he inaugurated wreaths and shilpatta on Gandhiji’s statue there. There was a meeting of the Sarvsharm Rama Sabhas, all the people including Chief Minister Nitish attended the prayer meeting. CM planted Champa’s Paddy in there.
The Gandhi Maidan of Chief Minister Motihari will arrive at 09.30 am. In the padyatra, other ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Chakshy Yadav, are also present. In the footsteps, there is a lot of local people including CM Nitish.
Road safety link
During the pilgrimage, tight security arrangements have been made from Chandrahia to Motihari Gandhi Ground. On this route, the operation of the vehicles has been stopped from six o’clock till 10 o’clock in the morning. Alternative routes have been set up for people not being inconvenience.
Bapu’s muscular musical adaptation
In order to make this historic moment a memorable one, the dramatic transformation of Mahatma Gandhi’s musical will be presented at the meeting place in Gandhi Maidan. Hundred years ago, the memoirs of the speech given by the muscular and Mahatma Gandhi in the SDO court will be fresh through this program. Chief Minister will also give message of Satyagraha Centenary to the residents. Along with the laser show, Satyagraha will be presented live.
