new delhi: All Political parties are united in India against Kulbhushan Jadhav’s sentence for espionage. An example of this was found when Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj sought the help of Congress MP and UPA government minister Shashi Tharoor in preparing a proposal to condemn the decision of the military military court. All the MPs from both the Houses of Parliament asked the government to take every step to help Jadhav.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said that Jadhav could not be a detective because he had a valid visa for India. After that he went to Tharoor, who has been a successful Diplomat and Minister of State for External Affairs in the previous UPA government. Sushma asked for help in preparing a proposal from them. Congress MP Tharoor took permission from Mallikarjun Kharge, the party’s leader in the house. It is noteworthy that even last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the help of Tharoor in preparing a draft for the condemnation of Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi’s release in the 2008 Mumbai attack. Modi also named Tharoor in his first 9 nominees of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Earlier, during a discussion on this issue, Kharge said that if Pakistan hangs Jadhav, then it will be ‘pre-planned killing’. Nobody has been allowed to meet Jadhav. He was not even given a lawyer to fight his case. No international rules were followed. BJP leader Nishikant Dubey demanded that a resolution be passed to declare Pakistan as a terrorist nation in the House. He said that India has put Pakistan in trouble on the issue of terrorism and this is the reason why neighboring countries are engaged in insulting the country.
AIMIM member Asaduddin Owaisi said that India should do everything to save Jadhav. Pakistan’s military court heard Jadhav’s sentence without any evidence. India should use every international platform to save them. Trinamool Congress leader Saugata Roy condemned the acts of Pakistan and praised India’s stand on this issue. He said that against India and Indians, Pakistan is acting with a spirit of revenge. The government should take every step to save Jadhav’s life.
B.G.Panda of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) said that on the issue of Jadhav, India should contact the World Court and United Nations. He said that Pakistan is not a common country. It is run by the military institute and with such acts, they are trying to destabilize our country.
