Salma Ansari, wife of Vice President Hamid Ansari, has also supported the voice rising towards one faction of Muslim women against three divorces. Salma Ansari described three divorce as meaningless and said that there is nothing written in the Quran. At the same time, he asked Muslim women to understand the Qur’an with reading, so that no maulana could mislead them.
Talking to reporters here, Salma Ansari came to attend the Chacha Nehru Madrasa’s program being run by Al Nur Charitable Society in Aligarh. He said, “Just divorcing a divorce, divorce, divorcing three times and not divorcing anyone. If the Qur’an is read, then it will be solved by itself. There is no such thing written in the Quran. This issue has been made of useless issue. Those who do not read the Quran, they do not know. ‘
Ansari said with this, ‘You read the Quran in Arabic, and do not read the translation then you people. Whatever Mullah-Maulana said, you accepted it as true. Read the Quran, read the hadith and see what the Rasool said. ‘ They said, ‘I say that women should have so much courage to read the Qur’an itself, think about it, gain knowledge about what Rasool said, what Shari’a says. No one should follow such.
Let us say that there has been a headline in the three divorced customs in the Muslim community for some time now. This practice has been challenged in the Supreme Court for the time being and the next hearing of a constitution bench bench is scheduled to be held on May 11.
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has stuck to its stand on three divorces. The Board had told the Supreme Court on March 27 that the petitions challenging these traditions prevailing among the Muslims are not considered as these issues are outside the judiciary’s scope.
