New Delhi: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached Delhi today on a four-day visit to India. During his stay in India, he will discuss issues of bilateral interest with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Modi was present on the air port for the reception of Hasina.
During Hasina’s stay, at least 25 agreements between the two sides are likely to be signed in various key areas including civil nuclear cooperation and defense. However, there is less chance of any agreement on Teesta water sharing.
The special thing is that PM Modi broke the protocol and reached the airport to welcome his Bangladeshi counterpart Haseena. Sources said that during the visit of Indira Gandhi International Airport to receive Bangladesh PM Hasina, Modi used normal traffic as a common citizen.
No traffic was stopped during their passing. No information was given to anyone. Interestingly, during the airport arrival, only the driver and the SPG officers were present with PM Modi. Not only that, he reached a car and did not have a convoy with him.
