Tapi Pannu and Manoj Bajpayee starrer ‘Naam Shabana”s debut starters disappointed Bollywood.
The film, released on Friday, had a very weak opening of 15 per cent, but due to good business in Gujarat and Hyderabad circuit, the film managed to do business of Rs 4 crore on the first day, which can not be considered very much on the canvas of the film.
There is a lot of ego for Saturday and Sunday name ‘Shabana’, as well as for Bollywood. Very big names have been associated with this film. The presence of Akshay Kumar in the film is an added attraction. Box office status of ‘Name Shabana’ can also prove to be quite egoistic from the point of view of women centric films.
‘Filalauri’ and ‘Anarkali of Aara’, which was released last week, did not even stand much on the business scale. In upcoming days, Vidya Balan’s Begum Jan, Raveena Tandon’s’ Mother ‘Sridevi’s’ Mom’ and ‘Shraddha Kapoor’s’ Haseena’ are about to arrive, on which Bollywood has croaked crores. Though the business of ‘Naam Shabana’ does not interfere with the business of these films, but it is possible to create a parasaption on women centric films, which will have the effect of these films too.
