Kosi Mahasetu inaugurated after 78 years

    With the inauguration of the four-lane Mahasetu on the main stream of the Kosi river in Supaul district of Bihar, the road connectivity between the two parts of the Mithilanchal, cut off last 78 years, has been established again.
    The Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, CP Joshi, inaugurated the four-lane 1.87-kilometer long road bridge and seven kilometer road at National Highway No. 57, built at a cost of Rs 431 crore.
    Due to the devastating earthquake that took place in 1934, after the bridge collapsed in this area, the road connectivity was broken in the area. After the inauguration of this bridge built by international construction company ‘Gammon India’, Joshi said in a meeting at Nirmali College, “It is a historic day on Vidyapati’s soil.

    While praising the development work of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Union Minister said, “Under the federal system, the Chief Minister of the state who is carrying out development work.
