INDVSAUS: India clinched ‘Royal’ victory in the second one-dayer against Australia by Kuldeep Yadav’s brilliant hat-trick

    Kolkata: Team India defeated Australia by 50 runs with help of Kuldeep Yadav’s glorious hat-trick in the second one-day match. With this victory, the Indian team has made a 2-0 lead in the series. Earlier, Team India scored 252 runs in 50 overs before winning the toss. With this big victory, the Indian team has come in the first place in the ICC rankings.

    The Indian team dominated the Australians from the start of the target and Bhuvneshwar Kumar got two wickets in 10 runs. After that, skipper Steve Smith, who played 100th ODI in ODIs, tried to handle the innings but he also scored 52 runs. After Smith’s all-rounder Marcus Stionic tried to keep the innings in check but none of the lower-order batsmen could accompany him. Stunnis remained unbeaten 62 in his struggling innings.




    Apart from Smith and the Danish, all the other Australian batsmen are looking helpless infront of Indian bowlers.

    In the second match of the series, the Indian bowlers displayed a brilliant game and Chinaman spin bowler Kuldeep Yadav, who took three wickets in three balls, broke the back of the Australian team. Kuldeep took 3 wickets in his 10 overs spell of 54 runs.

    Apart from Kuldeep, all the other Indian bowlers are seen in their colors. Bhuvneshwar, who gave the initial breakthrough to Team India, made three for three wickets while Yajuwendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya got two wickets each. Jaspreet Bumrah did not get any success today.

    Earlier, while batting, Team India gave the team a target of 253 runs. Captain Virat Kohli scored 92 runs off Team India and missed just 9 runs in ODIs by 31st century.

    Apart from Virat, opener Ajinkya Rahane played a 55-ball innings and shared a 102-run partnership with Virat Kohli. Manish Pandey, who came in to bat in the middle order, once again disappointed and made only three runs to go. Kedar Jadhav (24) was looking in his good colors but in an attempt to play a big shot, Maxwell was standing at the point of the catch. Former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who played 300th match in ODI cricket, could not do anything special and could only make five runs.

    Hardik Pandya, who is the Chennai ODI hero, has not been able to show much extra in Kolkata. In today’s match, Pandya has scored only 20 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also tried to play some archetypal shot but he could not move his innings more than 20 runs.

    The most successful bowler from Australia, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Ken Richardson, who made 3-3 wickets, Apart from this, Pet Cummins and Aston Egg got one wicket each.
