Security arrangements have been tightened in the two cases of murder against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh before the hearing on Saturday. in Panchakula paramilitary forces and the Haryana Police’s troops have been deployed.
50-year-old Ram Rahim will be present at the special CBI court from Rohtak jail through video conferencing. She is facing the sentence of 20 years imprisonment in two cases of rape. CBI court is hearing the murder case of Ram Chandra Chattrapati and former Dera manager Ranjeet Singh. In these cases, if convicted, life sentence or capital punishment can be punished.
Haryana’s Director General of Police BS Sandhu told that the security arrangements have been made before the hearing of these cases. In order to prevent any untoward incident, paramilitary forces and the Haryana Police Squatters have been deployed in Panchkula. He said that Ram Rahim is currently lodged in Rohtak jail. So hearing against him will be through video conferencing from prison.
In the murder case, CBI filed charge sheet on 30 July 2007. In both these cases, the hearing will be held on 16 September 2017 in the CBI Court. In these cases, Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been nominated as the main conspirator by the CBI.
